Came across this work by Maria Yasko which I find amazing! It's like making imagination into reality and would love this in my house. A really interesting use of interpretation. More can be found here.

Anna Garforth

I love this 3D installation typography by Anna Garforth. Made from used pieces of rubbish, this really transforms something typically quite ugly into something worth noticing. It recycles the strays pieces that you find flying around everywhere and the nature is reflected both in the word 'used' and the action it has taken to result in this. Really inspirational and shows you can produce anything out of the crappiest pieces of materials.

The Life Saver Bottle

This demonstration is truly something else. I'm sure I wasn't the only person in the world to doubt the function and whether or not it would work, but this is proof right here, that it does! It makes you wonder, how such a small product can be the solution to such a massive problem. People definitely need to contribute money towards this cause, at least then people would feel happier knowing where their money is going and what it is being spent on!

Andrew Byrom: Typeface Design

Each of these concepts produced by Andrew Byrom are extremely out of the ordinary both in use of materials and ways of presenting. He has manipulated everyday 'things' into creating his own letterforms. Check out his website for other examples.

Palette Industries: The Dharma Lounge

The Dharma Lounge designed by Palette Industries. Really interesting pieces of design work, especially for a chair. The design has been laser cut, making the typographic design fairly easy to reproduce. The text on the chair reads the words: Stand, Forget, Breathe, Acknowledge and Observe. I don't usually consider ever using the colour orange, however in this instance I think it works really well.

Studio Too Good

Found on studiotoogood.com, this design concept baffled me. It's never occured to me to put something as useful as a bookcase into something as practical as a chair. Amazing. The best thing about it, it looks good too.

Wonder-wall

I don't know about you, but I think this piece of design is pretty special :) Ideal for chocolate lovers out there, and the whole look is so simple and effective! It's so straight forward you wonder 'why didn't I think of that?!'.
